About

welcome

An Tigh Beag is a stunningly restored 100 year old quaint white washed cottage, sitting on the beautiful Applecross Peninsula.  Elevated in its own magical grounds overlooking the sleepy bay of Loch Beag and secretly hidden from view of Loch Shieldaig. Wonderfully positioned to engage with the sea views, the starry dark night skies and to glimpse in awe of the rare white tailed eagles , dolphins, seals and otters.

The charm of this holiday home is that it bears the hallmarks of a traditional highland cottage. The original stone walls have been reawakened again. The cute little windows as was, all these years ago, floods her with the South facing sun from early morning to dusk, roofline sloping and cosy.  The original fireplace commands the lounge with a cast iron wood burner to warm the winter nights. A vaulted ceiling and wooden beams complete the atmosphere. Blended with a modern day glass gallery overlooking the lounge, a stunning little white kitchen with copper and black trimmings and a super cute shower room with rainforest shower and underfloor heating offers a little luxury to this most charming home.

Sitting in an enviable position within the hamlet of Ardheslaig (Scots Gaelic for : the bay of Hazel ) you can sit around the stone fire pit, pick some freshly grown vegetables from the vegetable beds (when in season) cook on the outside BBQ and complete your day with a cold water swim in the lovely quiet bay...... you will want to stay here forever.
